ABOUT
Rebel Queens will take you on a wild ride through rock 'n' roll! Established in 2011, Rebel Queens is a vintage inspired rebel rock 'n' roll girl gang based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band was formed by Tiffany Beamer (Lead Vocals) with strong influence from the 70's all-female band, The Runaways. Rebel Queens combines the snarl of Joan Jett with the soul of Led Zeppelin in the same way they seamlessly blend classic rock tracks and original music. Their professional musicianship and ballsy stage presence pours in to each song with soaring-yet-gritty vocals, rip-roaring guitar solos, tight harmonies, and a smooth rhythm section. The current lineup features Tiffany Beamer (Lead Vox), Danielle Pearson (Drums/Vox), Katie Wyrd (Guitar/Vox), Pika (Bass), and Stevvie Mora (Lead Guitar).
The idea was always to incorporate original music, but they needed the right lineup. Finally, in 2016, they launched their first single, "Waiting Up for You" followed by the EP It's Reigning Rock N Roll. Each song earned airplay on several independent radio stations. Their next release, Wild Ride, showcased the badass power anthem, “Hey Yeah." The classic car and motorcycle themed music video was featured in City Pages best local videos. In 2021, Rebel Queens kicked off their 10th anniversary year with the Kerouac On The Road inspired single, "Ride On Thru." In true rebel form, the song blasts through comments and unsolicited advice often given to those that live outside of social norms. The song was picked up by a wide range of radio and press and given a heavier rotation, notably the Twin Cities radio station 89.3 The Current gave it 40+ spins in just a few months. When asked what a Rebel Queen is, Tiffany responds with "Someone that lives life on their own terms. They keep rollin' on despite roadblocks, construction, and crashes. All while giving others a lift along the way." The summer of 2021 brought the band’s latest thought-provoking single, “Roll The Dice,” and their third EP written and recorded in the midst of the pandemic, Remember Rock N Roll. Remember Rock N Roll was a theme that kept presenting itself in 2020 and early 2021. It was hard to say if Rock N Roll and the independent music industry in general could survive another major setback. Despite losing their lead guitarist prior to recording, this release is definitely their most musically crafted, each song containing a clear message that holds true to the band's values. Rebel Queens has made it their mission to help keep the spirit of rock 'n' roll alive and inspire the next generation of Rock Goddesses.
